Chris Gosbee is a young British painter from Bedfordshire. In his current practice, Gosbee uses the medium of oil paint using his "unconventional style to convey how the traditional portrait has evolved within the digital world we now live in".
He creates illusionary paintings using digital tools and softwares such as Photoshop.
"I am able to alter primary photos by using a variety of modern filters, abstract effects, color altering tools and many more to portray portraits from the past in a contemporary manner. The way I apply paint is my response to the layers of digital preparation used which leads to an outcome capturing the digital revolution through a human perspective."
